Carla had been a Meh-mber since the company's founding five years ago. Until Meh-Tropolis came along,
her formal dance training had come to an abrupt end in the mid 80's. And although she still has yet to take the
wrapper of her now 4 year old instructional DVD, "Ballet is Fun", she has recently learned that a Battement is "a
kick, either high (grand battement) or low (petit battement), which may be executed in any direction". She has a
BA in Theatre and a BA in Communications, both from Loyola Marymount, and studied for 6 years with Darryl
Hickman in North Hollywood. Although she adores being on stage, Carla is also grateful for the opportunity to
dust off her little box of design skills, and create a fun space to dance in. She is making the transition as a
designer from stage to screen, having recently served as the Production Designer for the film Four Sheets to
the Wind in Oklahoma and currently is working on The Listening Party in Los Angeles. When time permits she
works on her greeting card business and is hoping to get a book or two published.
