A native of Dallas, Texas, Claire began her dance training at an early age at Dallas Ballet Center, joined
City Dance Theatre (a pre-professional ballet company), and in 1990 had the opportunity to work with Paul Mejia
and the Fort Worth Ballet. She continued her education and training at Booker T. Washington High School for
the Performing and Visual Arts, enabling her to work with such artists as Donald McKayle, Ann Reinking, Bella
Lewitsky, Paul Taylor, Newtown School for Performing Arts in Sydney, Australia, and numerous others. In 2001,
Claire received her B.A. in Dance and Art History from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, and then
returned to Texas to become jazz instructor at the Hathaway Academy of Ballet. In 2002, Claire moved to Los
Angeles to pursue a performing career.
