Melody McKnight graduated Loyola Marymount University in 2002 with a Bachelor in Business, and
Minor in Dance. She began dancing at a very young age, attending performing arts schools, including
Hollywood High Performing Arts Magnet under the mentorship of Keny Long, and was the youngest
student ever accepted into Los Angeles’ Moro-Landis Scholarship/Work-Study Program. At LMU, she
performed in numerous dance concerts, including Sarah Harkness’s original dance “Meh-tropolis”, and
The Del Rey Players’ production of History of the Devil, also choreographed by Harkness. She studied
with the LMU Dance Program in Paris, France and participated in the Montpellier Dance Festival in
2000. Melody is currently a Pilates instructor, studying for her teaching credential and masters.
Melody thanks her mom, friends, the company, and her babysitters. Melody has danced with Meh-
Tropolis since its third season, and baby Emma is one of the company's newest inductees.
